It’s an exclusive spot for a beautiful home in the center of Rotterdam. The home is surrounded by an [abundance of greenery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palette-architecture); a massive glass window facing the park brings life into the room. A dugout style kitchen creates a protruding second floor platform, which emphasizes the elevated ceiling. The kitchen is located in the middle of the home; a staircase leads you down to the kitchen and straight to the back of the home where the glass facade brings outdoor life inside. The straight cut designs and open space is noticeable and you cannot miss the cupboards, staircases and kitchen that’s plastered in [bright orange](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-magarola). With a color-popping kitchen and a secluded park in the backyard, it’s an orange and green haven here. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.5/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 91% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Secluded EMS Homes:** The trend for secluded EMS homes can be capitalized on by designing contemporary homes that blend in with their surroundings and provide privacy. - **Dugout-style Kitchens:** Incorporating a dugout-style kitchen within a home can differentiate it from traditional designs and create unique living spaces. - **Glass Facades:** Integrating glass facades not just at the front, but also at the back of homes can provide more natural light and allow for a seamless connection between indoors and outdoors. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Real Estate:** Real estate professionals can make use of the trend for secluded EMS homes by identifying suitable locations and designing homes that meet demand. - **Interior Design:** Companies specializing in interior design can explore the trend for dugout-style kitchens by creating innovative designs that cater to different types of homes. - **Architecture:** Architects can focus on designing homes with glass facades to take advantage of the benefits that it provides, such as natural light and a seamless connection between the inside and outside. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Garden-Nestled Luscious Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hidden-villa.md) - [Afromosia Wood-Defined Dutch Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dab-studio.md) - [Privacy Enhanced Minimal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-open-house-1.md) - [Angular Stealthy Holiday Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stay-under-the-radar.md) - [Greenhouse-Topped Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-house-1.md) - [Contemporary Weatherized Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acute-house.md) - [Architectural Archetype-Themed Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-r.md) - [Burnt Orange Walled Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-magarola.md) - [Unconventional Triangular Barnhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dutch-barnhouse.md)
