[Amazon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amazon-fire-tv-stick-4k-max) has previewed the new [customer terminals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-terminals) which will be used by individuals apart of [Project Kuiper’s](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/project-prometheus) internet-from-space project. Project Kuiper will employ a constellation of tiny satellites to provide broadband access to users worldwide. However, it will primarily target untapped or underserved areas by present internet technologies. Customers who own a compatible terminal can receive broadband signals using its “smaller, more affordable, and more capable” design. Amazon’s baseband chip, Prometheus, will back the project.

“Prometheus combines the processing power of a 5G modem chip found in modern smartphones, the capability of a cellular base station to handle traffic from thousands of customers at once, and the ability of a microwave backhaul antenna to support powerful point-to-point connections,” the company said.
