Taking selfies with an iPad is usually difficult and awkward as the photos end up being taken at most an arm's length away from one's face. With HiLO Lens, the iPad can be held comfortably at waist level while taking video or photos toward the horizon. The ability to take very low-level shots comfortably will be greatly appreciated by parents and pet owners. Placing the iPad or [iPhone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snapgrip) at the edge of a flat surface with the HiLO Lens attached provides a tripod-like function. Available on [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-camera-lens) until November 21, the HiLo will change the face of phonetography forever. Support for Android. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Phonetography Attachments:** The HiLo Lens introduces a new level of convenience and flexibility for smartphone and tablet photography. - **Low-level Shot Capability:** The HiLo Lens allows users to comfortably capture photos and videos from a very low angle, opening up new creative possibilities. - **Tripod-like Function:** With the HiLo Lens attached, smartphones and tablets can be placed on flat surfaces to provide a stable and hands-free shooting experience. ### Where This Applies - **Mobile Accessories:** The HiLo Lens highlights the demand for innovative attachments that enhance the photography capabilities of smartphones and tablets. - **Parenting:** Parents will benefit from the HiLo Lens as it makes it easier to capture memorable moments with their children from a comfortable and unique perspective. - **Pet Accessories:** The HiLo Lens presents an opportunity for pet owners to capture captivating photos and videos of their furry friends in a fun and convenient way. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Detachable Mobile Camera Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-camera-lens.md) - [Modular Quad-Function Tripods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/versatile-tripod.md) - [Pro-Grade Smartphone Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/switchlens.md) - [Smartphone Gimbal Attachments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snappy-mobile.md) - [Space-Saving Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shiftcam-lensultra.md) - [Landscape Photographer Camera Mounts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tripod-mount.md) - [Photographer-Grade Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shiftcam-lensultra-explorer-series.md) - [Elevated Virtual Photography Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neural-telephoto.md) - [Downward-Facing Digital Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logitech-6.md)
