The 'Samsara' suitcase sports a sleek metallic design that is lightweight yet durable in order to survive the rough and tumble of being checked, dropped and towed everywhere you go. Aside from being tough, the 'Samsara' features an app-enabled design that allows users to keep track of it in case they misplace it, it is misplaced or someone tried to open it who shouldn't be doing so. The 'Samsara' smart aluminum suitcase also features a battery pack for charging your smartphone or [MacBook](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twelve-south-bookbook-caddysack) as required. An integrated LED lighting system helps shine a light on the interior compartment to ensure you can always find what you're looking for even if it's dark. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [World](https://www.trendhunter.com/world) > [Travel](https://www.trendhunter.com/travel) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **App-enabled Luggage:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation: Develop a luggage with app-enabled features such as tracking, security, and charging capabilities. - **Smart Suitcases:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation: Create suitcases with advanced features like integrated LED lighting systems and durable yet lightweight materials. - **Portable Charging Solutions:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation: Design portable charging solutions integrated into luggage to provide convenient power for smartphones, laptops, and other devices. ### Who This Affects Most - **Travel and Tourism:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation: Introduce innovative luggage products and services to enhance the travel experience and solve pain points for travelers. - **Consumer Electronics:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation: Collaborate with luggage manufacturers to develop smart luggage solutions that seamlessly integrate with smartphones and other devices. - **Design and Manufacturing:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation: Apply advanced materials and manufacturing techniques to create lightweight yet durable luggage with modern features. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Trackable Smart Luggage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casesafe.md) - [Tough Tech-Charging Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carl-friedrik-the-carryon-pro.md) - [Powered Assistive Smart Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mishatu-voyager-smart-suitcase.md) - [Tech-Equipped Suitcase Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oogo-smart-luggage.md) - [Discreet Trackable Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qantas-x-july.md) - [See-Through Ride-On Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airwheel-suitcase.md) - [Timepiece-Inspired Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casio-aeroease.md) - [Smartphone Case-Inspired Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hardshell-carryon-suitcase.md) - [Tech-Friendly Carry-On Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monos-carryon-pro-plus.md)
