Located in Kyoto, Japan, the Hazukashi House by Alts Design Office takes something one would normally see in the countryside, and adjusts it for a city-chic look.

The interior of the house consists mostly of [exposed wooden material](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/akio-isshiki-architects), making it look like more of a [cabin getaway](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-w-1) than an [urban dwelling](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-minamiazabu). All this house needs is a moose on the wall and some maple syrup, and it would be perfect set in the middle of a cold Canadian landscape. Instead it's located in a city, and from the outside one would assume the interior is similar to any other urban house. However, Alts Design Office has managed to put a creative spin on this look and turn it into something more memorable.
