[Volvo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-volvo-ex90) has released the highly anticipated, all-new [XC90](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2026-volvo-xc90), a hybrid edition vehicle. This all-electric vehicle is set to go on full public sale in 2019, with hybrid versions available in every car in its range.

Volvo hasn't released a whole gamut of details about the all-new XC90, but we do know that it will be similar in size to the S60, and will offer a range of well over 300 miles. This puts it in roughly the same class as the [Tesla](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lucid) 2016 Model 3.

Interestingly, the release of the Volvo XC90 comes just as the Swedish automaker Hakan Samuelsson shared predictions that around 10 percent of Volvo sales over the next 2 years will come from the sale of electrified versions of cars. Clearly, this vehicle is designed to get Volvo up and running in that regard.
