The more you consider Cristian Tomas Moyano's lucid digital renderings and the more you read up on his thoughts, you'll realize what a cutting-edge idea that he's developed, and how eagerly it would be embraced by consumers. Calling his hypothetical product the lightMac, the designer envisions the ultimate gadget for 2025. Taking full advantage of advancements in computer parts and technology, the hardware would assume the small space of a slim squared device. The solid core would house the i9 processor, the hard drive and all of the impressive functionality of a desktop; meanwhile, the two removable L-shaped borders could be positioned on a flat surface, framing a [projected touchscreen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumo-x700) to the dimensions of their placement. All parts would communicate wirelessly, but the frames could be used alone for a complete tablet-like experience within this all-in-one Apple concept. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.4/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 94% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Projected Touchscreen Technology:** The development of projected touchscreen technology creates new possibilities for all-in-one devices like the lightMac. - **Wireless Communication:** Advancements in wireless communication enable seamless connectivity between the main device and removable frames of all-in-one devices. - **Slim and Portable Design:** The trend towards slim and portable designs allows for a compact all-in-one Apple concept like the lightMac. ### Who This Affects Most - **Consumer Electronics:** The consumer electronics industry can leverage the advancements in projected touchscreen technology and wireless communication to create innovative all-in-one devices. - **Computer Hardware:** The computer hardware industry can explore the potential of slim and portable designs to develop high-performance, compact devices like the lightMac. - **Display Technology:** The display technology industry can focus on improving projected touchscreen technology to offer more immersive and interactive experiences in all-in-one devices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Immersive All-Screen Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macbook-folio.md) - [Compact Keyboard-Style Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mac-nano.md) - [Nostalgic Desktop Computer Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macintosh-computer-concept.md) - [Ultra-Slender All-in-One Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-imac-m3.md) - [Sleekly Conceptualized All-in-One PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ws1-workstation.md) - [AI-Powered Productivity Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-ai-device.md) - [Desktop-Powered Portable Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-mac-mini.md) - [Earphone-Equipped Folding Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-ipro.md) - [All-in-One Workstation Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lt1-laptop-concept.md)
