During their second year at the [Design Academy Eindhoven](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-and-design-miami), students Florence Louisy and Léo Schlumberger created the Alliance Glassware collection. The series is intended to cajole users into drinking a glass of water with each alcohol beverage they imbibe.

Each pair of glasses are [hand-blown](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/juno-collection), featuring shapes that resemble conventional [wine and cocktail glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-splitglass), minus the stem. The smaller of the two glasses fits into its larger counterpart, allowing both glasses to be poured and used as a single serving. The intention is that for each glass of alcohol, the user will also have a glass of water, avoiding over-consumption.

The designers explain that the collection will improve the situation in a natural way, linking hydration with boozing.
