Alamo Drafthouse announced the all-female screenings via its website, initially announcing just a single showing. That first screening sold out almost immediately, though, prompting the cinema to open up further shows. The all-female screenings aren't just for the audience, either. According to the online post, "everyone working at this screening -- venue staff, projectionist, and culinary team -- will be female." Tickets for these screenings are available online, and they are reserved for people who identify as women only. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Media](https://www.trendhunter.com/media) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Women-only Screenings:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Create exclusive screenings or events catered specifically to certain demographic groups, such as women, to provide a unique and inclusive experience. - **Feminist Marketing:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Incorporate feminist values and themes in marketing campaigns to resonate with and attract a growing audience that supports gender equality. - **Gender-inclusive Entertainment:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Develop entertainment experiences, venues, and productions that cater to individuals of all gender identities, creating an inclusive environment for diverse audiences. ### Where This Applies - **Film Exhibition:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Explore the concept of themed screenings or events to attract new audiences and provide a unique cinema experience. - **Event Planning:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Offer specialized event planning services focused on creating inclusive and targeted experiences for specific demographic groups. - **Marketing and Advertising:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Develop marketing campaigns that align with social and cultural movements, such as feminism, to connect with consumers who value those ideals. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Immersive Women-Targeted Travel Tours](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/women-only-solo-tours.md) - [International Women’s Day Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/womencentric-celebrations.md) - [Women's Football Pubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-queens-header.md) - [Women-Exclusive Gaming Tournaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/benefit-cosmetics-1.md) - [Women-Only Travel Adventures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expeditions-for-allwomen.md) - [Woman-Run Music Labels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gorgona.md) - [Changemaker Automotive Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ford-explorer-mens-only-edition.md) - [Celebratory Cinema Promotions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/national-cinema-day.md) - [Women-Only Esports Tournaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galaxy-racer-1.md)
