All Things Must Pass is a brilliant idea for a documentary about the rise and fall of Tower Records. For those unfamiliar, Tower Records was a pre-digital institution for purchasing music. With the emergence of iTunes and [Amazon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/good-night-oppy) in the wake of [Napster](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drought-x-napster) changing the entire industry, Tower Records was forced to close its doors.

All Things Must Pass is a project that was launched on the [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brick-my-world) website by Colin Hanks (Tom Hanks' son). From watching the pitch it seems highly likely that the final result will be a nostalgic one. All Things Must Pass marks the end of era for a store but also for the acquisition of a tangible object. Considering becoming a backer on this doc to receive special gifts.
