It also lives up the Alienware reputation by being a [powerful and reliable gaming computer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aorus-supreme-5). The Alienware Area-51 has what is called a Triad chassis, essentially a 22-inch tall triangular-hexagonal body. This makes it easy to access ports and buttons on the computer, unlike regular desktop towers that have most of the ports inconveniently hidden at the back. The Area-51's sloping interface offers easy access to ports and jacks. The entire chassis can even be pulled forward to pivot on its front edge. The sloping triangular shape also makes it impossible for the rear of the computer to be pushed up against a wall, allowing for a controlled thermal exhaust. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 61% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/computers) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Triangular-hexagonal Design:** The triangular-hexagonal design trend in computer hardware allows for easier access to ports and buttons, improving user experience. - **Easy Port Access:** The trend of easy port access in gaming computers eliminates the inconvenience of hidden ports and jacks. - **Controlled Thermal Exhaust:** The trend of controlled thermal exhaust in computer design improves overall performance and reliability. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Gaming Hardware:** The gaming hardware industry can benefit from incorporating triangular-hexagonal designs into their products to enhance user experience. - **Computer Accessories:** Companies specializing in computer accessories can tap into the trend of easy port access by designing innovative products that improve convenience. - **Computer Cooling Systems:** The computer cooling systems industry can embrace the trend of controlled thermal exhaust to develop more efficient and reliable cooling solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Alien-Inspired PC Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aftershock-pc-case.md) - [Cyberpunk-Inspired Gaming PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xcube-gaming-mini-pc.md) - [Reduced Plastic Gamer PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alienware-aurora-r16.md) - [Powerful Gaming Desktops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/powerful-gaming-desktop.md) - [Ultra-Powerful Gaming PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alienware-aurora-1.md) - [Angular Upright Gamer PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/topgro-t1-i99980hk.md) - [Predator-Shaped PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cooler-master-shark-x.md) - [AI Architecture Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alienware-x16-r2.md) - [Geometric Gamer Laptop Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaming-laptop-series.md)
