Each piece in the [furniture collection](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-co) boasts unique qualities that are virtually otherworldly, with familiar qualities that have a twist—like the Borden blue velvet chair with six legs. Some of the other dynamic, [alien-inspired designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/metal-stool-1) in the ET Collection include Leelo, an [acrylic table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draga-aurel1), Zorg, a high-back chair that resembles an abstracted green alien and Rebi, a robot-like side table. In the collection, each furniture piece has its own quirky personality and designs that could seemingly come to life at any moment. Together, the collection forms a cohesive whole that is eclectic and extraterrestrial, yet just as at home on earth. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 89% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Whimsical Alien Designs:** Exploring imaginative alien designs for furniture, presenting an opportunity for creating unique and playful furniture collections. - **Otherworldly Furniture:** Designing furniture pieces with unique qualities inspired by extraterrestrial elements, offering a disruptive innovation opportunity in the interior design industry. - **Eclectic Extraterrestrial Collections:** Curating furniture collections that infuse familiar designs with a twist of otherworldly aesthetics, providing a new approach to interior decoration and creating a niche market. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** Integrating whimsical alien designs into furniture production, offering innovative and eye-catching products to consumers. - **Interior Design:** Incorporating otherworldly elements into interior design concepts, providing a fresh and unexpected approach to home decor. - **Art and Decor:** Exploring the incorporation of imaginative alien designs into art and decor, presenting an opportunity for artists and designers to create unique and thought-provoking pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Otherworldly Themed Rocking Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ufo-rocking.md) - [Creature-Inspired Home Good Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charles-jeffreys-loverboy.md) - [Futuristic Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-dawn-collection.md) - [Organic Ancient Design Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/earth-to-people-furniture-collection.md) - [Playful Toy-Like Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frunchroom-furniture-collection.md) - [Maximalist UFO Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-saucer-coffee-table.md) - [Playful Casual Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uchronia-wave.md) - [Interdependency-Inspired Designer Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hilo.md) - [Stunningly Ornamental Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/erm-studio.md)
