Playful, young-hearted, inviting and full of color, its design is simple but warm and unlike most conventional adult vacation spots. This [beachfront paradise](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beachside-hotel-1) is a getaway both literally and figuratively as its luxurious location is an escape from the responsibilities of adult life, and its [vibrant decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amy-pigliacampo) is an escape from the confines that surround it. Alexandra and and her husband Eliot Angle founded their interiors company in 1999, decorating homes bi-coastally in LA and New York as well as creating their own exquisite [line of furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-co). In describing her design goals, Alexandra says, "Design at its very best should be at once intimate and awe-inspiring. We work towards achieving this by balancing our focus on interior architecture, fine craftsmanship, well-curated furnishings and art." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Childlike Interiors:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design hotels or vacation rentals catering to adults who want to reconnect with their playful and carefree side through colorful and inviting interiors. - **Luxurious Escapes:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating exclusive vacation destinations that offer a break from adult responsibilities and provide a vibrant and energizing atmosphere through unique and colorful design. - **Personalized Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Offering tailored interior design services that focus on creating intimate and awe-inspiring spaces that reflect the client's personality and preferences. ### Where This Applies - **Hospitality:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Hotels and vacation rentals can attract new customers by incorporating childlike and vibrant interiors that provide a unique and refreshing experience. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Interior design firms can differentiate themselves by offering personalized services that aim to create intimate and awe-inspiring spaces. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Furniture companies can develop a line of playful and colorful furniture that complements childlike interior design trends. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Playful Apartment Makeovers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onda-apartment.md) - [Luxuriously Artistic Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/child-studio1.md) - [Eccentric Australian Seaside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ysg.md) - [Modern Vibrantly Designed Craftman](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/craftsman-house.md) - [Family Life-Focused Modern Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pacific-house.md) - [Eclectic Coastal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ysg-byron-bay.md) - [Light-Filled Open Beach Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-sky-beach-house.md) - [Beach Club-Inspired Holiday Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sydney-coastal-home.md) - [Whimsical Family Home Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2lg-studio.md)
