# Juxtaposed Jellyfish Photography Alexander Semenov Places Jellyfish into the Sky in This Series By Paul Maccarone | Published 2013-07-09 | Updated 2013-07-11 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alexander-semenov References: [designtaxi](http://designtaxi.com/news/359132/Stunning-Photos-Of-Jellyfish-Captured-Against-Otherworldly-Skies/) Alexander Semenov is at it again with his incredibly expansive imagination. Already one to play around with the mystical images of jellyfishes, this time he takes his work to a whole new level: the [endless sky](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stratosplash). One of the best things about photography these days is the endless amount of imagination that seems to pour forth from it. Combine that with the ever-evolving skills of photographers, and you get works like these [jellyfish captures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-jellyfish) from Alexander Semenov. The ability to transpose jellyfish into the sky creates an eerily surreal effect that is akin to that of some sort of free-flowing extraterrestrial. The blending is expertly done, and if not for the knowledge that jellyfish in fact live in the sea, one would seriously start to question just where these [flying jellyfish](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pharrell-williams-and-adidas-originals) have come from. I can't wait to see more brilliant work from Alexander Semenov. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 31% | Activity: 14% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Imaginative Photography:** Imagination is endless in photography, creating opportunities for surreal and mind-bending visuals. - **Transposing Elements:** The ability to transpose objects into new environments creates unexpected and captivating imagery. - **Mystical Creations:** Mystical and otherworldly subjects in photography evoke a sense of wonder and intrigue. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Photography:** There is a growing market for unique and imaginative artwork and photography that pushes boundaries. - **Digital Media and Advertising:** The use of surreal and captivating visuals in digital media and advertising can engage and captivate audiences. - **Interior Design and Home Decor:** Incorporating mystical and surreal artwork into interior design and home decor can create a unique and immersive atmosphere. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Candy-Like Colorful Glass Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gele-series.md) - [Interactive Jellyfish Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jewels-of-the-sea.md) - [Jellyfish-Inspired Interactive Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jellyfish-robot.md) - [AI-Generated Real-World Transformations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-generated-world.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [Statement Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1.md) - [Jellyfish-Inspired Sneakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pharrell-williams-and-adidas-originals.md) - [Blurry Abstract Photography Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optical-allusion.md) - [Sub-Aquatic Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-imaginary-sea.md)
