Alessandro Borghese's latest restaurant, Alessandro Borghese – Il Lusso della Semplicità, is an absolutely gorgeous space that was purposefully designed to evoke the aesthetic of a 1930s cruise ship, but it's the use of a unique material that makes this space truly unique. The design of the restaurant was led by Alfredo Canelli, who works for Borghese's company AB Normal. Much of the restaurant is built of [Neolith Sintered Stone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sintered-stone). The stone is a recycled material made by Spanish company TheSize Surfaces and was used by Canelli in a variety of finishes, including [marble, granite, wood and metal](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marble-lab).

The Neolith material can be found across the bar worktops, and allows Alessandro Borghese and his chefs the ability to plate directly onto the surfaces without fear of staining. The material is incredibly easy to clean, does not scratch, does not stain and does not leave any smells. These qualities make it perfect for a restaurant space, as the hygienic properties keep things clean, and the striking aesthetic ties a space together.
