Alain Bearteau has decided to head to the pool hall for some inspiration for his newest creation. He's designed new kitchenware called the S&P salt and pepper grinder. Each of the models are made from the exact same material that's used to make cue balls in pool and is molded after its shape. Turn the top to start grinding and the bottom will season your food automatically. Bearteau designed the salt and pepper grinder for Tamawa that will be shown at the [Maison & Objet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guillaume-delvigne) show, which runs from September 9th-13th. In addition to this wonderful kitchenware, he also designed a 8GB USB with the same concept. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.4/10 - Popularity: 2% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Billiards-inspired Kitchenware:** Creating designer kitchenware inspired by billiards using unique materials for a distinct product line. - **Functional Kitchen Gadgets:** Innovations in kitchenware that combine form and function to provide culinary equipment that double as decor. - **Innovative Utensil Design:** Unconventional designs for common kitchen utensils to create novelty items that are both practical and fun. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Kitchenware Manufacturing:** Manufacturing companies that specialize in producing unique kitchenware using novel materials and designs to set their products apart from the competition. - **Home Decor:** Home decor manufacturers who cater to consumers that want functional decor items that can be both conversation pieces and functional tools. - **Novelty Items:** Creating products with unique materials and playful designs that cater to a niche market of consumers looking for conversation-starters and unusual items. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Miniature Toy Billiards Table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vintage-billiards-table.md) - [Contemporary Pepper Grinder Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zjddg.md) - [Dual Spice Shaker Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stui.md) - [Smart Spice Grinders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gravity-grinder.md) - [Modern Geometric Artful Grinders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twist-collection-1.md) - [Spherical Mortar & Pestles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spicy-mortar-and-pestle.md) - [Outdoor-Friendly Pepper Grinders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-pepper-mill.md) - [Artful Table Tennis Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nedj-ping-pong-tables.md) - [Reflective Ping-Pong Parlour Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/match-point-installation.md)
