The accessory works by replacing the [CR2032](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chipolo-pop) battery inside the tracker with an electrical contact point, which will relay power from a set of AA batteries. This will eliminate the need to replace the batteries in the tracker every year, while the fiber-reinforced polycarbonate case has an IP69 rating to deliver advanced water, dust and dirt protection. The Elevation Lab AirTag TimeCapsule is reported to deliver 10-years of battery life and weighs in at 3.5-ounces with a body that can be fit neatly into luggage or any other bag design.
