# Pollution-Reversing Bicycles The Air-Purifier Bike Filters Wind Before the Rider Breathes It In By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-12-05 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airpurifier-bike References: [red-dot.sg](http://www.red-dot.sg/en/online-exhibition/concept/?code=923&y=2013&c=5&a=0) & [lightfog.co.th](http://www.lightfog.co.th/ourwork/index) It's unfair that cyclist should choose the green form of transportation and have to put up with emissions of automobiles all around them. The Air-Purifier Bike gives a great deal back to the rider, rewarding him aptly for his healthy and planet-friendly activity. This innovative concept by Lightfog Creative is an [electric bicycle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zetmobil-lastenrad-modelle) that has an [air purifier built into the handlebars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-purifying-headboard), catching pollutants to prevent the cyclist from inhaling them. Another impressive process of the e-bike is its ability to produce oxygen with a photosynthesis system that's integrated into the top tube of the frame. Finally, the Air-Purifier Bike can carry on functioning as an [air filtration mechanism](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amoby-air-purifier) when the two-wheeler is parked, operating on battery power to continuously improve the quality of the environment. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 99% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Air-purifier Bicycles:** Opportunity for the development of bicycles with built-in air purifiers to provide clean and healthy transportation options. - **Integrated Photosynthesis Systems:** Potential for integrating photosynthesis systems into various products to help increase oxygen production and improve air quality. - **Battery-powered Air Filtration:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to create battery-powered air filtration systems that can continuously improve the environment. ### Where This Applies - **Bicycle Manufacturing:** Opportunity for bicycle manufacturers to incorporate air purifiers into their products for eco-conscious consumers. - **Environmental Technology:** Potential for environmental technology companies to develop and market integrated photosynthesis systems for various applications. - **Air Quality Solutions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for companies to create battery-powered air filtration systems for both indoor and outdoor environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bike-Mounted Air Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bikemounted-air-monitor.md) - [Environmental EV Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audi-urban-purifier.md) - [Air-Purifying Motorcyclist Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zyon-smart-motorcycle-helmet.md) - [Dynamic Air-Purifying Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vox-aeris.md) - [Air-Purifying Stroller Canopies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airpurifying-stroller.md) - [Plant-Supporting Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/florapur-air-purifier-concept.md) - [Mood-Enhancing Car Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fri-air-purifier.md) - [Regenerative Cycling Equipment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/energy-keeper.md) - [Algae-Powered Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/algenair-aerium.md)
