Global Response Group has designed a special high-tech system to deal with future disasters like that in the Gulf; the design will clean oil spills within days.

The Airborne Robotic Oil Spill Recovery System, or AEROS, uses [GPS-controlled robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydro-hawk) that are dropped from a plane near the spill site to [purify the water](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robot-dispenser). Each bot can clean up to 3,000 gallons of water a minute. The oil collected in the process is collected in bladders and it is recycled for future use later.
