Made of [garbage bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ara), it can be thought of as an ironic joke referencing the amount of junk the world dumps in our water. The Air Whale cannot [float in air](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iwagumi-air-scape) on its own but it would look pretty rad if it were attached to something. It seems like an item Greenpeace would love and use at every [ocean raid](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robot-dispenser). The Air Whale has so many possibilities! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 79% | Activity: 47% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **DIY Environmental Awareness:** Creating DIY projects that raise awareness and promote environmental conservation. - **Upcycling Art:** Innovative ways of using waste products to create art and functional items. - **Marine Conservation Activism:** Use of creative and artistic approaches to promote marine conservation activism. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Artists and designers can use waste materials to create innovative and eco-friendly functional items to reduce environmental pollution. - **Environmental Conservation:** Environmental organizations can use DIY projects to engage people and raise awareness on the importance of conservation. - **Social Activism:** Activist groups can use creative approaches to promote and advocate for marine conservation. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Recycled Plastic Floating Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mast.md) - [Inflated Design Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-as-a-main-material.md) - [Plastic Bottle Lifejackets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bot-lifejacket.md) - [Marine Mammal Camping Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whale-trailer-cabin.md) - [Inflatable Hydrofoil Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lift-blowfish.md) - [Helium-Filled Airship Yachts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-yacht.md) - [Floating City Networks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/justinian-khoo.md) - [Artful Garden Inflatable Spheres](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/this-is-air.md) - [Portable Air-Filled Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sofa-made-from-air.md)
