The keyboard is equipped with a series of [inflated key caps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knit-one-chair) across the surface that will offer a touch of cushioning against the fingers when typing. This prevents the usual resistance placed on the tips of the fingers with regular keyboards to soften the impact and thus make long-term typing far more comfortable for users to tolerate. The 'Air Type' keyboard maintains an appearance like that of bubble wrap for a bit of visual intrigue and identifies a clever solution for keeping computer users comfortable given the ever-increasing amount of time they are spending on their terminals. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 76% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 11% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Inflated Key Caps:** Inflating keyboard keycaps can be a profitable trend for peripheral companies. - **Comfortable Typing:** Designing peripheral devices for comfortable typing is a trend that can set a business apart. - **Softened Impact:** Reducing impact on fingertips can be a trend to explore for keyboard and accessory manufacturers. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Computer Accessories:** Keyboard peripheral manufacturers can explore designing inflatable keycaps for their products. - **Gaming:** Gaming peripheral companies can explore inflatable keycaps design trends to make gaming more comfortable for long playing sessions - **Accessibility Devices:** Inflatable keycaps can be a new avenue for companies working on accessibility devices for people with disabilities ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Compact Cushioned Keyboard Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hue-bluetooth-keyboard.md) - [Ergonomic Magnetic Component Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nuio-flow-keyboard.md) - [Inflatable Gaming Console Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airshock-playstation-controller.md) - [Glove-Like Keyboard Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glove80-keyboard.md) - [Timber-Accented Keyboard Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corant-c10-keyboard.md) - [Dedicated AI Button Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-ergonomic-keyboard.md) - [Autocomplete Mechanical Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bored-intelligent-keyboard.md) - [Modular Hexagonal Cap Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kbird-spec-project.md) - [Electronic Ink Keyboard Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gauge-keyboard.md)
