Ah, L'Amour is the first famed film by animator and Academy Award nominee Don Hertzfeldt. Hertzfeldt created the [short film](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yukis-revenge) in 1995 when he was 18 and a student at the [University of California](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humboldt-seed-company), Santa Barbara.

Quite rightly he is protective of his work, and the film had never been online due to copyright; but Atom Films has now obtained those rights so you can view it here.

**Implications** - The video has a bit of an evil side and even features [cartoon drawings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tooncrafter-ai) ripping off the skin of others. The bloody cartoon portrays vicious women that have been inspired by some of Don Hertzfeldt's past flames. He claims that he mostly needed past-fling inspiration for female hairstyles.
