# Supersized Inflated Spiders Adam Lee Breaks Records with the Largest Balloon Sculpture Ever By Meghan Young | Published 2011-10-17 | Special Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adam-lee References: [mymodernmet](http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/humongous-spider-is-worlds-largest-balloon-sculpture) & [adamlee.net](http://www.adamlee.net/record.html) Adam Lee has probably just set the most timely world record ever. (Maybe that deserves world record recognition in and of itself?) For Halloween, he has created a [giant black spider](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beetlejuice-character). But this is not just any spider. It also happens to be the [world's largest balloon sculpture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keff-joons) ever. And large it is. Using almost 3,000 balloons, Adam Lee managed to create a whopping 45 feet 2 inches wide by 22 feet 2 inches long sculpture with no glue support. The kicker? He did it all by himself. Adam Lee would normally use the help of others to inflate and tie off balloons as he put the pieces together, but this balloon genius had to do it alone in order to achieve the world record. Adam Lee's sculpture is currently being displayed at Great Wolf Lodge Lobby in Grand Mound, Washington. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 31% | Activity: 31% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Special](https://www.trendhunter.com/special) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Large Balloon Sculptures:** Opportunity for artists and event planners to create attention-grabbing inflatable sculptures for various occasions. - **Solo Balloon Artistry:** Solo artists can explore new techniques and challenge themselves to create record-breaking balloon sculptures. - **Record-breaking Achievements:** The pursuit of setting new world records can drive innovation and creativity in various fields. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Event Planning:** Event planners can incorporate large balloon sculptures as unique and eye-catching attractions for parties and events. - **Art and Design:** Artists can experiment with balloon sculptures to push boundaries and create visually stunning installations. - **Entertainment:** Entertainment companies can utilize record-breaking balloon sculptures to captivate audiences and create memorable experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Spooky Dessert Halloween Decorations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dunkin-spider-donut-inflatable.md) - [Spiky Inflatable Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inflatable-sculptures1.md) - [Giant Custom Inflatables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/giant-inflatables.md) - [Larger-Than-Life Candy Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/15foot-inflatable.md) - [Massive Record-Breaking Pizzas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/worlds-largest-pizza.md) - [Immersive Balloon Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloon-story-popup.md) - [Record-Breaking Skate Megaramps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/red-bulls-building-drop.md) - [Artful Garden Inflatable Spheres](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/this-is-air.md) - [Record-Breaking Wine Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/belaire-zeus.md)
