The London-based artist recreated memories and scenes from his days spent in Columbia, vacationing with a friend's family. Each piece is incredibly true to life and breathtakingly gorgeous. I can almost feel the breeze from the fan in the painting that shows two young people sharing a bunk bed, and smell the [chlorine from the motel pool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cdm30). The [beautiful summer scenes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slim-aarons-puzzle-collection) of the Adam de Boer 'Finca' paintings are nostalgic and act as a tribute to the months spent in Columbia, and to any one who ever spent time away from their family at summer camp or on a school trip. The sense of wonder and relaxation captured in the artwork is what makes these pieces truly magnificent. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 27% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [World](https://www.trendhunter.com/world) > [Travel](https://www.trendhunter.com/travel) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Ultra-realistic Paintings:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Using technology to enhance the realism and interactivity of paintings, such as incorporating augmented reality or interactive elements. - **Nostalgic Artwork:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating virtual reality experiences that allow individuals to immerse themselves in nostalgic settings and relive memories. - **Art as a Tribute:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Utilizing blockchain technology to create unique tokens or digital assets representing artworks, allowing for easier trade and provenance tracking. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Fine Arts:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Leveraging artificial intelligence to automate the creation of artwork, blurring the line between human and machine-generated art. - **Entertainment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing immersive art-themed experiences and installations that combine various sensory elements to enhance engagement. - **Blockchain:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Building blockchain platforms specifically designed for the art industry, facilitating secure transactions, and transparent art ownership. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Abstract Fantasy Home Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abstract-fantasy-home.md) - [Travel-Inspired Canvas Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-passport-series.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [Dark Abstracted Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-minyades-exhibition.md) - [Suburban-Inspired Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suburbaninspired-art-exhibition.md) - [Painterly Dining Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/7-paintings-the-art-of-dining.md) - [Oil Painting-Inspired Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antonio-santn.md) - [Human Nature-Themed Art Galleries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sea-im-awake.md) - [Traveling Fine Art Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/get-out-there.md)
