The iDesk is an insanely creative concept illustrated by the talented graphic designer, that turns a [sleek office surface](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arnardo-desk) into a massive touchscreen tablet. Benton’s idea would allow you to access the majority of your everyday workspace items as virtual accessories and even sync any iOS device you own just by setting it on top of the table. You could upload different skins to change your decor daily, save all of your files internally, and even set out digital trays to amass documents from other iDesks. The features of the futuristic Adam Benton iDesk Concept are endless, and for Apple to eventually bring this genius idea to life would be their coolest consumer-pleasing move yet. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Interactive Workspaces:** The Adam Benton iDesk Concept represents an innovative approach to transforming office surfaces into interactive touchscreens, opening up opportunities for increased productivity and creativity. - **Virtual Accessories:** The iDesk Concept's ability to virtualize everyday workspace items as accessories offers a disruptive innovation opportunity to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows. - **Synced Devices:** By enabling seamless syncing of iOS devices by simply placing them on the iDesk surface, the concept paves the way for a new level of device integration and convenience. ### Who This Affects Most - **Graphic Design:** The iDesk Concept presents a game-changing innovation for graphic designers, enabling them to explore new possibilities in digital creativity and interactivity. - **Office Furniture:** The integration of touchscreen technology in office surfaces creates an exciting opportunity for the office furniture industry to design and produce more advanced and interactive workstations. - **Technology Accessories:** The concept of virtual accessories opens up a potential market for technology accessory manufacturers to develop and offer a variety of customizable and virtual workspace tools and gadgets. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elegant Working Desk Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mindset-builtin-computer-desk.md) - [OLED Screen-Equipped Smart Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumina-desk.md) - [Digital Productivity Desk Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desk-accessory-concept.md) - [Fashionable Desktop Design Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wondlet-graphics-tablet.md) - [Immersive All-Screen Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macbook-folio.md) - [Adaptive Touchscreen Workspace Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/take-a-rest-1.md) - [Touch Interface Keyboard Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touch-keyboard.md) - [Workstation Projection Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/work-wall.md) - [App-Connected Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adjustable-smart-desk.md)
