The actress belts out a song in this video called “Falling Down” from her album “Anywhere I Lay my Head” and [she can sort of sing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/raye). No, she's not Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston but I think she knows that. She does not have a dominant voice and the video for the song reflects that fact. They took her voice track and added it to a [vast sound scape](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whole-new-sound) that is rough and beautiful and allows her voice to float so to speak. I liked it. Most of the songs were written by Tom Waits and produced by David Andrew Sitek. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 27% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Media](https://www.trendhunter.com/media) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Actors Turned Singers:** There is a trend of actors taking on singing projects, showcasing their multi-talented abilities. - **Alternative Music Collaborations:** The collaboration between Scarlett Johansson and Tom Waits highlights a trend of alternative music projects with unexpected pairings. - **Experimental Soundscapes:** The video for Scarlett Johansson's song 'Falling Down' showcases a trend of using experimental soundscapes to enhance the overall musical experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry can explore opportunities to create more music projects that involve actors showcasing their singing talents. - **Music Production:** The music production industry can capitalize on the trend of alternative music collaborations and experiment with unique pairings to create innovative and refreshing music. - **Audio-visual Technology:** The audio-visual technology industry can develop new techniques and tools for creating immersive and experimental soundscapes in music videos and other multimedia projects. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Actress-Backed Handbag Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galleria-handbag.md) - [Singer Soda Music Videos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/so-good.md) - [Musical Haircare Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acidic-bonding-concentrate.md) - [Singalong Streaming Service Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-music-sing.md) - [AI-Human Music Albums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eleven-album.md) - [AI-Powered Karaoke Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mayk.md) - [AI Singing Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-singing.md) - [Singing AI Voice Changers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maibhisinger.md) - [In-App Karaoke Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/karaoke-mode.md)
