# Wearable-Compatible Glove Designs Active Glove Approach to Wearable Technologies By Kalin Ned | Published 2026-08-04 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/active-glove References: [prlog.org](https://www.prlog.org/13160881-active-glove-introduces-patented-concept-for-more-accessible-wearable-technology.html) Active Glove — a patented concept introduced by [Axis International](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unform-studios) — offers a new approach to interacting with wearable technology. The concept allows users to position a [smartwatch or similar device](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/motorola-pivoting-wearable) on the back of the hand rather than the wrist. This design approach seeks to address the common challenge of accessibility when traditional wrist-mounted devices become obscured by sleeves, jackets, or protective gloves during everyday activities and demanding work environments. Active Glove's concept is available for licensing, presenting an opportunity for manufacturers to expand wearable technology into markets where visibility and ease of use are critical considerations. The brand notes that its innovation is particularly relevant for applications in sports, fitness, outdoor activities, construction, industrial environments, warehousing, delivery services, healthcare, emergency response, and general consumer use.
