# Upcycled Octopus Sculptures Acoustapus by Nemo Gould Rocks Harder than a Rock Lobste By Michael Hines | Published 2010-03-04 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acoustapus-by-nemo-gould References: [laughingsquid](http://laughingsquid.com/acoustapus-by-nemo-gould/) & [nemomatic](http://www.nemomatic.com/nemomatic/) Acoustapus by Nemo Gould can only be described in song. I'm almost sure I would score a grammar flag if I did that, so I'll try to describe the awesomeness of 'Acoustapus' in words. Let's start with the name first. This [sculpture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basket-sculptures) gets its name from the [acoustic guitar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shark-guitars) that forms its head. Brilliant! Acoustapus by Nemo Gould is also made up of [rocking chair parts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carpentopod), aluminum, a salad bowl, beads and many other things that would make this list too long to be aesthetically pleasing. Support the 'Acoustapus' movement and check out the link to Nemo Gould's site on the left. I command ye. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 16% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Upcycling:** Opportunities to create innovative art pieces by utilizing discarded materials. - **Sustainable Art:** Developing unique sculptures while reducing environmental impact by utilizing reclaimed materials. - **Musical Art:** Combining music with art to create unique sculptures with practical applications. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art:** Opportunities to create sustainable, music-inspired sculptures and contribute to the upcycling movement in art. - **Music:** Innovative artists creating functional sculptures, using discarded materials and simplifying the manufacturing process. - **Sustainability:** Increased awareness of environmental impact and the benefits of upcycling in art and music industries. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Creature-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/octopus-center-table.md) - [Sculptural Sound Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acoustic-sculpture-speaker.md) - [Sculptural Acoustic Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/echoes-of-the-deep.md) - [Shreddable Steampunk Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steampunk-guitar.md) - [Sea-Inspired Mini Sculpture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-sculptures.md) - [Recycled Guitar Prototypes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-guitar-1.md) - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md) - [Style-Conscious Guitar Amps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amonito-guitar-amplifier.md) - [Textured Acoustic Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rhapsody.md)
