A fun and fresh furniture collection, its [minimalist designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/after-series) are offset by interesting materials and colorful accents. Designed by American-born, Netherlands-based designer, the Acciaio Series will be debuted in the Rossignoli Bicycle shop during the Salone Furniture Fair in Milan, Italy. Comprised of three lightweight pieces (dining chair, lounge chair and stool), the Acciaio Series was inspired by classic racing bicycles. In fact, it even features frames made out of specialized, [tapered steel bicycle tubes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foln). The seats themselves are made out of a perforated leather material, giving the entire Acciaio Series both texture and an overall luxurious feel, making the collection perfect for any home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Colorful Furniture:** Designing furniture with colorful accents or materials to create a playful element and offer a fresh look. - **Bicycle-inspired Furniture:** Drawing inspiration from the design of bicycles to create unique furniture pieces. - **Luxurious Textured Furniture:** Incorporating perforated leather or other textured materials to give furniture a luxurious feel. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can incorporate colorful accents or materials and unique designs to create a new line of products. - **Bicycle Manufacturing:** Bicycle manufacturers can explore new product lines by entering the furniture industry with bicycle-inspired designs. - **Leather and Textile Manufacturing:** Leather and textile manufacturers can supply materials for furniture manufacturers to create luxurious and textured furniture pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimalist Steel-Frame Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steelframe-seating.md) - [NYC-Inspired Steel Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/city-block.md) - [Leather-Accented Industrial Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/l1-chair-from-object-leuci.md) - [Steel Hybrid Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloc-studios.md) - [Ultra-Chic Minimalist Seating Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-seating-design.md) - [Pop Art-Inspired Bright Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/henri-judin.md) - [Metallic Tubular Minimal Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tone-chair.md) - [Metal-Centric Playful Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sight-unseen-1.md) - [Frying Pan-Inspired Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pole.md)
