Anyone with a [Netflix](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/play-service), HBO Go, [Amazon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultimasaurus) [Prime](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/invenia-abus-prime), or any other video-streaming account has experienced having to turn down an account-less friend's plea to log in, either because of the fear that that friend might share the password with other people or because that password is the same for multiple accounts. AccessURL lets users share their accounts without having to give out a username or password. The Chrome extension works by creating a link that allows users to login into any account simply by clicking (skipping the password and username step.) Users can share this link with friends and set an expiration time of either one day or one week. And, if they sense any funny business, they can cancel the link at any time. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.4/10 - Popularity: 7% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/computers) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Account Sharing:** AccessURL's browser extension allows for easy and safe account sharing without divulging passwords. - **Link-based Access:** AccessURL's link-based access indicates a future trend in secure account management. - **One-time Access:** AccessURL's one-time access feature is a trend indicating future advancements in account sharing technologies. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Internet Security:** AccessURL disrupts the Internet security industry by providing secure account management solutions. - **Streaming Services:** AccessURL provides a valuable service for the streaming industry, allowing users to share accounts with ease. - **Technology:** AccessURL spearheads the trend toward more intuitive and secure technology solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Screen-Sharing Browser Extensions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/screenchair.md) - [Secure Password Sharing Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/play-service.md) - [Instant URL Shortening](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/link-shortener.md) - [Login Tracking Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/how-did-i-login.md) - [Form Autofill Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/social-vault.md) - [Social Media Profile Access](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/profile-jumper.md) - [Streaming Service Intro Skippers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/autoskippy.md) - [Instant Text Sharing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/textshare-without-logins.md) - [Password Cybersecurity Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lastpass-business.md)
