Seemingly inspired by aeronautics, the ‘fly’ design features jet engine-shaped armrests. “My design is futuristic with a sense of acceleration and speed; organic with [seamless flowing forms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loop-furnitures),” says Grass. “Simple, well-balanced and peaceful, while simultaneously creating a sense of awe.” As for his everyday source of inspiration, Grass explains, “I find inspiration in vehicles such as cars, aeroplanes and spaceships; in the structure of bones and in the fluid forms of fish.” Right now, Accelerate is a digital prototype. Grass has a planned execution of a polyester resin structure upholstered with polyurethane foam and white leather for these designs. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Futuristic Furniture:** The trend of incorporating futuristic designs into furniture creates opportunities for innovative and cutting-edge products. - **Sleek Design Concepts:** The trend of sleek and seamless designs in furniture opens up possibilities for visually appealing and modern products. - **Inspiration From Aeronautics:** The trend of drawing inspiration from aeronautics in furniture design allows for unique and aerodynamic furniture pieces. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can benefit from incorporating futuristic furniture designs into their projects. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The furniture manufacturing industry can explore sleek design concepts to create innovative and marketable products. - **Automotive Design:** The automotive design industry can leverage the trend of drawing inspiration from aeronautics to create futuristic and stylish car interiors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Space Travel-Inspired Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aerospace-seat-spn01.md) - [Supercar-Inspired Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/prova-mo53-lounge.md) - [Dynamic Futuristic Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polarisgo-chair.md) - [Supercar-Inspired Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ufo-lamborghini-furniture-pieces.md) - [Illusory Floating Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-soft-sofa.md) - [Motion Blur-Inspired Rocking Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fast-rocking-chair.md) - [Futuristic Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/futuristic-chair-concept.md) - [Contemporary Design-Forward Seating Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fasettis-autumn-2024.md) - [Magnesium-Infused Futuristic Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polarisgo.md)
