Although trolling on the Internet has become almost a necessary evil of free speech, one platform has created a more in-depth abuse-reporting system in order to curb the nasty behavior. Twitter's Periscope particularly suffers from a barrage of negative remarks, especially since it allows comments to float in real time across the screen -- often directly over the broadcaster’s face.

In order to combat these occurrences, Periscope's abuse-reporting system "puts comment moderation in the hands of so-called flash juries," writes Fast Company. When a comment is reported as abusive by one viewer, others will have the opportunity to chime in. If the majority agree it is, the offending user will receive a 60-second ban from posting further comments. That might not seem like a long time, but things happen quickly on the Internet.
