There is something extraordinarily beautiful about the 'Abandoned Surfland' [photo series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/still-life-1) by Joni Sternbach. Artistically documenting [Long Island surfers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swell-diary) in Montauk’s Ditch Plains, Sternbach has created a [vintage-treated collection](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retrova) that is almost too nostalgic for words. Thankfully, you can peruse the gallery to properly digest each powerful image.

Strangely enough, I would have never have thought surfing as such a powerful subject. Through photographer Joni Sternbach's eyes, however, it is, and 'Abandoned Surfland' is proof of that.
