# Tentacled Sci-Fi Helmets Aaron Jasinski Throws Octopus Appendages onto Star Wars Masks By Jason Soy | Published 2012-03-10 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aaron-jasinski1 References: [lacarpa.tumblr](http://lacarpa.tumblr.com/post/18999762137/octopus-star-wars-by-aaron-jasinski#n) & [jasinski.deviantart](http://jasinski.deviantart.com/) Channeling Cthulhu, Aaron Jasinski has attached moving tentacles to these memorable Star Wars helmets in a painting series that’s delightfully bizarre. If you thought Darth Vader, Stormtroopers and Boba Fett weren’t menacing enough in the original George Lucas trilogy, you’ll certainly change your mind after laying eyes on these artful abominations. What’s especially noteworthy about these Aaron Jasinski illustrations is their seamless transition from mechanical parts to organic appendages. The Darth Vader helmet, in particular, looks as though it’s some breed of yet undiscovered octopi. This smooth transition between living and inanimate object shows Jasinski’s talent as a designer, as well as his imaginative mind. It’s no wonder why his work is so highly regarded on the Internet and around the world. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Bizarre](https://www.trendhunter.com/bizarre) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Sci-fi Artwork:** Exploring the combination of science fiction and art to create unique and bizarre visuals. - **Organic-mechanical Integration:** Blurring the lines between living organisms and inanimate objects to create fascinating and imaginative designs. - **Character Remixing:** Taking iconic characters and incorporating new elements to create fresh and interesting interpretations. ### Where This Applies - **Fine Art:** Utilizing traditional or digital mediums to create visually stunning and thought-provoking artwork. - **Entertainment:** Revitalizing well-known characters and storylines to appeal to new audiences and generate buzz. - **Design:** Experimenting with unconventional materials and techniques to push the boundaries of traditional design concepts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI-Generated Motorbike Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coldstar-art.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Classical Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sen-donnan.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Replica Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clone-trooper-phase-ii.md) - [Dark Sci-Fi Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/darc-sport.md) - [Sci-Fi Franchise-Inspired Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-collection-2.md) - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md) - [Plastic Sci-Fi Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artfx-boba-fett.md) - [Futuristic Robotic Wearables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikeuchi-hiroto.md) - [Sci-Fi Smartphone Grips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/popsockets-dimensionals-star-wars.md)
