# Fire-Breathing Toy Dragons Aaron Amatnieks Adds a Fiery Element to His LEGO Creation By Meghan Young | Published 2011-08-03 | Life-Stages Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aaron-amatnieks References: [neatorama](http://www.neatorama.com/2011/08/01/fire-breathing-lego-dragon/) & [brothers-brick](http://www.brothers-brick.com/2011/07/28/lego-dragon-breathes-real-fire/) Aaron Amatnieks takes the art of LEGO to a whole new level by introducing another element into the game. This element happens to be fire. Considering that he decided to build a dragon, the use of flames is extremely appropriate. Otherwise, it would have been thought of as just another gimmick in a hobby filled with gimmicks. Incredibly impressive, Aaron Amatnieks' fire-breathing LEGO dragon could certainly replace the boring, basic lighter. Since it does have a dangerous aspect about it, it is safe to say that Aaron Amatnieks' dragon creation would only be suitable for adults anyways. I can only wonder what Aaron Amatnieks' fire-breathing LEGO dragon will inspire next in the artistic building block universe. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/toys) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Fire-breathing LEGO Creations:** A new level of creativity and innovation using LEGO, incorporating elements such as fire-breathing dragons. - **Advanced LEGO Builds for Adults:** Catering to adults interested in advanced LEGO builds that require more skill and creativity. - **Combination of Art and Technology:** The blending of traditional artistic medium with modern technology such as robotics. ### Who This Affects Most - **Toy Manufacturing:** The inclusion of technological and innovative features that will appeal not only to children, but also adults. - **Education:** Utilizing the appeal of LEGOs to teach science, engineering, math, and technology concepts to children and young adults. - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry can incorporate LEGO builds, such as fire-breathing creations, into shows, exhibits, and events. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Monster-Honoring Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/godzilla-lego.md) - [Lego-Centric Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brick-my-world.md) - [Insanely Intricate LEGO Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-rollsroyce.md) - [Antique-Style Building Block Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-ideas-led-lamp.md) - [Sci-Fi Nostalgic Dragon Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ground-dragon.md) - [Fire-Breathing Toy Figures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jakks-pacific-super-mario-bros-movie.md) - [Historic Bird-Like Contraption Recreations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-machine-set.md) - [Festive Brick Centerpieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-christmas-table.md) - [Hyper-Detailed Motorbike Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-bmw-m-1000-rr.md)
