It’s the perfect hideaway from your parents and siblings. It’s especially great if you don’t know how to [climb a tree](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/secret-camp) or a ladder since it’s not that far up from the ground. Fairly simple, it wouldn’t be a chore to assemble. It fastens together with ratchet straps, so you would only need to crank them tight and that is what holds the structure together and onto the tree. I can’t even put together a bookcase from [IKEA](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinity-diy-cat-tree) on the first try but the Aandeboom DIY Treehouse is something I’m sure I could handle. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 62% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Flatpack Treehouses:** Opportunity for innovative design and easy assembly of treehouses using ratchet straps. - **Accessible Hideaways:** Creating hideaway structures that are easily accessible for individuals who may not be able to climb trees or ladders. - **DIY Assembly:** Catering to the growing trend of DIY enthusiasts through simple and user-friendly assembly processes. ### Where This Applies - **Outdoor Recreation:** Developing treehouse structures and kits for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers. - **Home Improvement:** Providing easy-to-assemble structures for homeowners looking to create unique backyard retreats. - **Eco-tourism:** Creating eco-friendly and sustainable treehouse accommodations for eco-tourism destinations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elevated Treetop Modern Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buitenverblijf-nest.md) - [Vaulted Structural Telescopic Treehouse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artistree-home.md) - [Solar Powered Luxe Treehouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-baltic.md) - [Cartoonish Tubular Treehouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tubular-treehouse.md) - [Tranquil A‑Frame Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steel-a-frame.md) - [Repurposed Wooden Shoreside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tree-house-by-the-lake.md) - [Slatted Steel Treehouse Surroundings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sawmill-treehouse.md) - [Modular Wooden Holiday Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piil.md) - [Compact Modular Forest Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digital-house.md)
