# Wireless Guitar Pedals Aalbert Audio is Developing the World's First Wireless Guitar Pedal By Rahul Kalvapalle | Published 2014-08-29 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aalberg References: [gizmag](http://www.gizmag.com/aalberg-ekko-aero-wireless-guitar-effects-control/33553/) & [aalbergaudio](http://aalbergaudio.com/) Norwegian company Aalberg Audio has developed the world's first ever remote-controlled effects pedal for electric guitars. The setup starts with the [Ekko](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ekko-chair) delay pedal that is hooked up by a cable like any regular effects pedal. However, it can be wirelessly controlled by the [Aero](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonwalkers-aero), an attachment that can be placed on the guitar's strap or belt. This setup eliminates the need for players to have to physically go to the pedal each time they want to tweak an effect. The Aero attachment comes with a rechargeable battery and can communicate with the effects pedal from up to 30 meters away. Players can roam around the stage while still activating and controlling their pedal effects. Aalberg Audio's effects pedal revolution is not quite complete just yet however, as it depends on the fate of their crowdfunding campaign on [Indiegogo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guitar-gadgets). A pledge of $249 will get you one unit in March 2015 if and when the product hits its fundraising goal. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 51% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Live Arts](https://www.trendhunter.com/livearts) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Wireless Guitar Pedals:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop wireless control systems for various musical instruments to enhance mobility and convenience. - **Remote-controlled Effects Pedals:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore ways to create remote-controlled effects pedals for other instruments to provide musicians with greater control and ease of use. - **Crowdfunding for Music Tech:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Utilize crowdfunding platforms to support the development and launch of innovative music technology products, opening up opportunities for new players in the industry. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Musical Instrument Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate wireless technology into the design and production of musical instruments, providing musicians with more flexibility during performances. - **Music Equipment Retail:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Offer a range of wireless effects pedals and remote control attachments to meet the evolving needs of musicians seeking more seamless and convenient gear. - **Technology Crowdfunding:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create specialized crowdfunding platforms specifically for music tech projects, connecting inventors and music enthusiasts who are passionate about supporting innovative audio solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Effect-Blending Guitar Pedals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/effectblending-guitar-pedal.md) - [Wireless Expression Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dimension-tripper.md) - [Effect-Emitting Guitar Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guitar-gadgets.md) - [Pick-Dispensing Guitar Pedals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stompbox.md) - [Signal-Boosting Audio Processors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audio-processor.md) - [Digital Electric Guitar Pedals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/h90.md) - [Headphone-Friendly Wireless Amplifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-guitar-amplifier.md) - [Versatile Effects Pedals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stratus.md) - [Audaciously Bold Effects Pedals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/effects-pedals.md)
