# Modular Tool Kits The 'A4 Tool Kit' is Both a Flashlight and a Hammer By Joey Haar | Published 2016-08-09 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a4-tool-kit References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2016/08/08/a-4-adventure/) The Swiss Army Knife is one of the best options when it comes to a [multi-purpose modular tool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eyeq-switchdisc), but the A4 Tool Kit makes up for certain tools that Swiss Army Knives lack by necessity. In particular, the A4 Tool Kit is a single tool that can transform into both a hammer and a flashlight in seconds. The [modular design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tially-kit) of the tool is simple. It comes with three parts: the handle, the light, and the hammer. Both the hammer and the flashlight pieces screw onto the handle quickly and can be stored in a small carrying case when not being used. A hammer requires some size in order to function properly, yet the A4 Tool Kit still manages to remain relatively compact. Its name is take from the size of paper, A4, also known as letter paper, because the tool kit can fit on a piece of A4 stationery. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.8/10 - Popularity: 77% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Modular Tool Kits:** Opportunity for creating versatile and customizable tools that can transform into different functions quickly and efficiently. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Multitool Manufacturing:** Manufacturers can explore the production of advanced multi-purpose tools that offer a wide range of functionalities. - **Construction Equipment:** Innovative toolkits that combine multiple construction tools into a compact and portable design to improve convenience and efficiency on construction sites. - **Outdoor Gear:** The development of modular tool kits that integrate various outdoor tools, such as flashlights, compasses, and knives, to provide adventurers with all-in-one solutions for their outdoor needs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Modular Camper Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-camperkit.md) - [Durable Outdoor Camping Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-camping-multitool.md) - [Modular Camping Tech Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camperkit.md) - [Design-Conscious Tool Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hoto-tools-hand-tool-set.md) - [Innovative Camping Multi-tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camping-multitools.md) - [Modular Cycling Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-cycling-multitool.md) - [Personalization-Focused Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/customizable-modular-multitool.md) - [Interchangeable Camping Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aecooly.md) - [Adaptable Modular Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roxon-flex-titan.md)
