# Foliage-Friendly Organizers Fabrica Designed a Desk Organizer with the Plant Lover in Mind By Vasiliki Marapas | Published 2014-08-28 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-desk-organizer References: [dezeen](http://www.dezeen.com/2014/08/28/fabrica-statera-desk-tidy-plants-workplace/) & [fabrica.it](http://www.fabrica.it/) Italian design firm Fabrica have come up with the Statera, a [desk organizer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kiir) that accommodates both plants and stationary. Recognizing the therapeutic potential of plants, Fabrica's designers wanted to bring their soothing element to the work space. The Statera, which is Latin for "balance," features a black metal skeleton, which holds [two ceramic pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/posha) on either side, along with hook-like hanging devices meant for tape rolls. The frame is supported by an oval-shaped base made of stone. The base is slightly depressed, leaving extra room for random desktop items, while the rim has been punctured with holes to [stand pens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pareto-pot). The designers want to stress that, beyond its organizational capabilities, the Statera allows users to reap the physical and mental health benefits of plant life without sacrificing too much space in the process. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Organic Office Innovation:** The Statera desk organizer taps into the growing trend of incorporating nature into the workplace environment. - **Functional Plant Accessories:** The Statera desk organizer caters to the trend of using plants as design elements while also serving a functional purpose. - **Therapeutic Workspaces:** The Statera desk organizer aligns with the trend of creating work environments that promote wellness and stress reduction. ### Where This Applies - **Office Supplies:** The Statera desk organizer presents an opportunity for office supply companies to create products that combine functionality and nature. - **Home Decor:** The Statera desk organizer offers a new avenue for home decor companies to design products that incorporate plants into organizational solutions. - **Wellness and Lifestyle:** The Statera desk organizer caters to the wellness trend and provides an opportunity for companies in the wellness industry to create products that enhance workspaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Vertical Desk Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tower-desk1.md) - [Integrated Planter Worktables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plantable-office.md) - [Office-Space Luscious Planets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bisley.md) - [Multipurpose Workstation Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakywood-wooden-cubic-pot.md) - [Carved Timber Workstation Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/organization-kit.md) - [Vertical Workstation Wall Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-wall-planter.md) - [Eco-Friendly Hardwood Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hardwood-accessories.md) - [Building Block Wall Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wall-organizer-and-messfree-planter.md) - [Modern Modular Desk Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firki.md)
