# Candy Colored Bathtubs The Fiberglass ‘Jolie' Tub Is Vibrant Yet See-Through By Alexandra Choli | Published 2009-04-01 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Jolie-Tub-fibergrass-bathtub-Regia References: [bloomacious](http://www.bloomacious.com/bloomacious/2009/03/a-fresh-perspective-on-bathtubs-from-regia-.html) & [regiasrl.it](http://www.regiasrl.it) Italy-based Regia integrated [colored fiberglass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tip-top-glass) into modern, see-through bathtubs for the lively [Jolie](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-bathing-collection) tub. An oval profile and clear lines fashion this giant water glass look-alike, making this vibrant tub extra hard to resist. The eye-catching soaker consists of a polyester and acrylic resin blend filled with glass pigments which grant the vibrant tub its distinct colors, including red, apple green, amber, blue and white technoglass. Cast in fiberglass, the ultra-[modern bathtub](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sustainable-bathroom-design) is then cooled and smoothed to a crystalline finish. Zesty red and cool blue are definitely my Jolie favourites, while its transparent nature provides an extra incentive to keep working out; after all, this is definitely not a bathtub you want to keep hidden, so you may as well look good through it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 31% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Colored Fiberglass Integration:** The use of colored fiberglass in the design of bathtubs presents an opportunity for innovative and vibrant tub designs. - **Transparent Bathtubs:** The creation of see-through bathtubs offers a unique and visually appealing bathing experience. - **Crystalline Finishes:** The application of a smooth and polished crystalline finish on fiberglass tubs enhances their aesthetic appeal and durability. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Bathroom Fixtures:** The bathroom fixtures industry can explore the use of colored fiberglass and transparent designs to create visually striking and modern tubs. - **Home Decor:** In the home decor industry, the integration of colored fiberglass and transparent materials in bathtubs can offer unique focal points and statement pieces. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate tubs with crystalline finishes to add a touch of elegance and sophistication to bathroom designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Customizable Minimalist Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acquabella-noon-slate.md) - [Sophisticated High-Design Bath Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soaking-tub.md) - [Symmetrical Curved Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/victoria-alberts-barcelona-collection.md) - [Rounded Hydromassage Tubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aretusa-tub-by-claudio-papa.md) - [Removable Bathtub Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathtrope.md) - [Japanese Snack Box-Inspired Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bento-starck-box.md) - [Malleable Removable Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathtope.md) - [AI-Enhanced Contemporary Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-and-co.md) - [Hardwood Based Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beam-bathtub.md)
