# Intricate Animal Stencils These Delicate Animal Silhouettes are Carefully Cut From One Piece Paper By Ady Floyd | Published 2015-09-01 | Updated 2015-09-21 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Delicate-Animal References: [fubiz.net](http://www.fubiz.net/en/2015/09/01/paper-cut-animal-silhouettes/) & [instagram](https://instagram.com/peaceofpaper1/) Artist Jo Chorny created a series of [intricate and delicate animal silhouettes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basket-sculpture) which are all cut from a [single piece of paper](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pastille). Their immaculate detailing allows these paper structures to truly represent a unique art form. This artist uses one piece of paper and an X-Acto knife to complete each individual creature and mimics a [stencil-like appearance](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/printed-decors). The variety of delicate animal silhouettes ranges from swirl-cut elephants to feather-adorned birds. Upon completion, each piece of artwork is then photographed using natural background settings that enhance the overall quality of the animals. This artist only uses the sky as her background for each piece of art. The various colors allow for versatile settings. Sometimes the artist will use pure blue skies, purple sunsets or white fluffy clouds. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 69% | Activity: 43% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Intricate Paper Art:** There is an opportunity for artists to explore the creation of intricate paper art using stenciling techniques. - **Single-piece Paper Creations:** Artists can experiment with cutting complex designs from a single piece of paper, showcasing their skills and creativity. - **Nature-inspired Silhouettes:** Artists can create delicate animal silhouettes inspired by nature, capturing the beauty and intricacy of wildlife. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Craft Supplies:** Suppliers of art and craft materials can promote specialized paper and cutting tools to cater to artists interested in creating intricate paper art. - **Fine Art Photography:** Photographers can offer their services to artists who want to capture high-quality images of their intricate paper creations against natural backgrounds. - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can collaborate with artists to produce unique decorative pieces featuring intricate animal silhouettes made from a single piece of paper. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Paper Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragmenti.md) - [Almost-Extinct Animal Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fauna-series.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Origami-Inspired Porcelain Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saori-matsushita.md) - [Sculptural Mixed-Media Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folded-echoes.md) - [Origami-Inspired Ceramics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-series.md) - [Intricate Jigsaw Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/intricate-jigsaw-puzzle.md) - [Paper Curvature Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-curves.md) - [3D-Printed Paper Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-knives.md)
