# Roofless Branching Bird Feeders 9/10 by Dorogaya Brings Feathery Friends Up Close and Personal By Meghan Young | Published 2014-01-30 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/910-by-dorogaya References: [psfk](http://www.psfk.com/2014/01/roofless-bird-feeder.html) & [facebook](https://www.facebook.com/studio.dorogaya) There are many reason's why a person would put up a [birdhouse in their backyard](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nesting-plan-vi-call-duck), one of which is to get a glimpse of their feathery neighbors; 9/10 by Dorogaya, a Ukrainian product and graphic design studio, provides an even better view. While traditional birdhouses obscure much the [feeding frenzy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-bird-feeders1) since they enclose the birds in house-like structures, this design keeps them out in the open. More than that, 9/10 by Dorogaya is fixed to windows by a suction cup, which really brings them up close and personal. Taking on the form of a branch, the design also feels more like home for the birds. Pieces of bread are easily pierced by the tips of the branches, from which they hang in order to bait the [colorful creatures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cool-birds). The branches come in various colors. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Open-air Bird Feeders:** Creating bird feeders that keep the birds out in the open, providing a better view for bird enthusiasts and photographers. - **Window-mounted Bird Feeders:** Designing bird feeders that can be fixed to windows using suction cups, allowing for a close-up and personal bird-watching experience. - **Nature-inspired Bird Feeders:** Developing bird feeders that mimic natural branches to create a more appealing and comfortable feeding space for birds. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Outdoor Retail:** Opportunity for outdoor retail companies to offer innovative open-air bird feeders that enhance the bird-watching experience. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for the home decor industry to produce window-mounted bird feeders that seamlessly blend with interior design while attracting birds. - **Photography:** Innovative bird feeders fixed to windows can provide photography enthusiasts with unique opportunities to capture close-up shots of birds in their natural habitat. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Birdhouse-Integrated Address Signs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/our-common-house.md) - [Home Exterior Nesting Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/numbird.md) - [Highly Functional Bird Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ori-bird.md) - [Sustainable Bird House Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bamboo-bird.md) - [Educational Linoleum Birdhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elvi-birdhouse.md) - [Modernism Birdhouse Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dwellings-project.md) - [Bird-Shaped Food Packagings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bigbilled-bird-food-concept.md) - [App-Extended Smart Birdfeeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-birdfeeder.md) - [Smart Hummingbird Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/feathersnap-hummingbird-feeder.md)
