Mashable generated a social media phenomena by dressing up [Instagram](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pepa-paris)-famous Marnie the dog as 90s cartoon characters. There seems to be a special place in the hearts of millennials for 90s cartoon characters as they continuously pop up on tweets, GIFS and memes. Even [Nickelodeon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cartoon-painting-collections-diamond-art-club-and-paramount-join-forces-for), the network where most of these characters originated is beginning to re-air these favorite shows.

Marnie is an adorable pooch known for her crooked head and signature smile that includes her tongue sticking out of the side of her mouth. In preparing for Marnie's upcoming book 'Marnie the Dog: I'm a Book,' a video was shot documenting some of the photographs that will be featured.

Marnie has an astonishing 1.7 million followers on Instagram and has been known to recreate numerous pop culture moments and celebrities. She has even been immortalized as latte foam art.
