Local architecture studio [SO-IL](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/144-vanderbilt) completes the 9 Chapel, which is a rendering of buildings currently under construction in downtown Brooklyn. It is defined by its unique [perforated metal wrapping](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mary-schmidt-campbell-center) for a unique dynamic look. The residences will feature 27 one to four-bedroom designs over 14 stories and will be visible from the Brooklyn Bridge.

The aforementioned metal wrapping is made possible with the help of developer [Tankhouse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dinesen-apartment). This facade helps absorb light without disrupting the privacy throughout the outdoor spaces. Co-founder of SO-IL, Florian Idenburg speaks about the project, stating "Leveraging the particular characteristics of this site, we introduce an innovative concept: a collection of homes dynamically connected with their surroundings. This presents an exceptional and vibrant approach to 21st-century living in New York."
