The South Korean electronics maker has released its largest television to date in its home country and is planning a worldwide release in September. Aside from being 84 inches in length, the company's new TV is notable for its ability to display video in 4K. The pixels that can be displayed in 4K vary from 4,000 by 2,000 to 4,000 by 3,000. Standard HDTVs have a max pixel setting of 1,920 by 1,080. The 4K resolution is most often seen in movie theaters, with very little commercial availability as of now. That being said, 4K is more or less the display of the future, so LG is wise in trying to get ahead of the curve.
