# Overlapping Lampshade Panels 65% Wall Lamp Enables Customization of Light Blocking and Diffusion By Amelia Roblin | Published 2014-01-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/65-wall-lamp References: [archidesignclub](http://www.archidesignclub.com/magazine/rubriques/design/45559-harmonie-henrio-applique-65.html) & [harmoniehenrio.net](http://harmoniehenrio.net/) Lampshades tend to be fixed components on light fixtures, but not in the case of the 65% Wall Lamp. Frankly, quite a bit about the composition and appearance of this illuminator go against one's expectations of this type of object. Harmonie Henrio designed this unusual item with parts that include a [wall-mounted wooden beam](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flatpack-timber-lamp) as a horizontal base, three [translucent glass panels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-drape-light) and threaded rods that enable them to be slid along the ledge. The panels have been cut to take different sizes and four-sided shapes, and they've been softened with rounded corners. Each one is tinted in either red or charcoal to a transparency degree of 65%. To customize the look and the intensity of the 65% Wall Lamp, the unique shades can be clustered and overlapped or spaced out in front of the LEDs. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Customizable Lampshades:** The trend of customizable lampshades allows consumers to personalize the look and intensity of their lighting. - **Translucent Glass Panels:** The use of translucent glass panels in lamp design provides a unique and modern aesthetic. - **Threaded Rods for Sliding Panels:** The use of threaded rods to enable sliding panels in lamp design offers flexibility and versatility in lighting customization. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Lighting:** The home lighting industry can harness the trend of customizable lampshades to offer unique and personalized lighting solutions to consumers. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can incorporate the trend of translucent glass panels in lighting design to create visually stunning and modern spaces. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can explore the use of threaded rods for sliding panels in lamp design to offer innovative and flexible lighting options for customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Twisting Timber Lampshade Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twisted-lasercut-wooden-lampshade.md) - [Customizable Industrial Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pi-modular-lamp.md) - [Umbrella-Inspired Whimsical Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wasaga-lamp.md) - [Foldable Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-folding-lamp.md) - [Plexiglass Vibrant Wall Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vibeke-fonnesberg-schmidt.md) - [Laser-Cut Customization Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saya-light.md) - [Lantern-Inspired Wall Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hashira-wall-lamp.md) - [Illusory Multidimensional Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drop-light.md) - [Modular Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aplat.md)
