The team at [Studio Takuya Hosokai](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/milan-bakery) has designed the 45° Space, which is located in Niigata. The [forest cakeshop](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/funamachi-base) is full of angular structures. In terms of the function, a barista would slide a perfectly structured cake box along the counter as a shadow falls at unique angles on the surface. What is to be expected is consistently challenged.

The 45° Space is in ancient woodland and embodies the concept of seeing the design rotating at precisely 45° throughout the entire building. This way, it creates four distinct axes that are meant to disorient visitors and alter a cakeshop into an [immersive experience](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blue-bottle-coffee-3). Hosokai noted, “We wanted people to experience the forest differently. When you lose your bearings, you begin to see what was always there but never noticed.”
