The girls at 3iying aim to give female consumers what they really want. In a world where we are bombarded with ads, there is a lot of competition, and millions of different marketing approaches. So what makes an ad good or bad? And how can companies best reach their targets?
"3iying's 'adflip' video series exposes how billions of dollars are blown on bad female marketing," the company says.
3iying is a group of young girls and women who look at ads today and let YouTube users know why those ads failed or excelled. No, these are not marketing gurus, in fact, many don't have an education past high school. However, they are consumers, and ultimately the ones who affect the response rate of campaigns. The girls at 3iying select campaigns that are directly targeted at their demographic, and share their opinions on why the companies succeed or fail.
"This series directly links massive financial waste to specific girl-market misunderstandings, and challenges the predominant methods agencies use to develop creative strategies," they say. "From outdated clichés to shallow representations of who girls are - the
girl market industry is in crisis. Most campaigns are turning girls off, damaging the brands reputations, and driving products off the market."
