The 'Chil-Dish Project' from designers Kristos Mavrostomos and Anna van der Leij was developed to give young kids the chance to create 3D-printed designs and gourmet dishes to go with them. While this might seem like a daunting task, kids were simply asked to design a [piece of dinnerware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/office-of-tangible-spaces) for their favorite dish.

More than 300 children from the ages of one to 16 participated in the project and the duo behind the project selected 10 [winning designs to be produced](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-artists-design-contest) by Shapweways.

After the 3D-printed designs were printed in food-safe materials, Restaurant OLO joined the project in order to help kids complete the journey to becoming a five-star chef. The multidisciplinary Chil-Dish Project is an inspiring project to empower the next generation of makers.
