3D printing is a versatile technology, and the 3Doodler Start STEM kit is an educational 3D-printing pen that kids will have a great time playing with while learning. The new series of kits focuses on various fields of STEM education, with themes that not only teach direct lessons, but also help kids to learn indirect skills like spatial reasoning.

The 3Doodler Start STEM kits have been produced in partnership with Hexbugs, the [kids robotics company](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-9) that is best known for their crawling robotic critters. With the 3Doodler kit, kids can use the 3D-printing pen to build the various pieces of these robotic insects from scratch. Other robotics kits include a [dinosaur set](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dino-adventure-pack) and skeleton figurines.

The kit is being announced ahead of Toy Fair 2018, and it is set to be released in May.
